Our 2021 Norton celebrates one of America's oldest native wine grapes, which has found an exceptional home in Kansas' Kaw Valley region. Crafted from grapes grown at Kugler Vineyards, this pure expression undergoes careful fermentation and aging in stainless steel for eleven months, allowing the true character of this historic variety to shine through. This approach honors Norton's remarkable legacy as America's first commercially successful wine grape while showcasing its modern potential in Kansas terroir. A versatile food wine, it pairs beautifully with Kansas City-style barbecue, hearty pasta dishes, and bold, flavorful cuisine.

In the glass, this distinctive Norton reveals its heritage through layers of concentrated dark fruit aromas. The initial bouquet presents fresh black cherries and ripe blueberries, followed by intriguing notes of black pepper and wild plum. As the wine opens, nuanced expressions of dark berries emerge, creating a pure, vibrant expression of both fruit and terroir that speaks to Norton's unique place in American wine history.
