Saba Tej
Tasting Notes
Named after the Queen of Sheba, Saba Tej is a golden Tej-Honey Wine indigenous to Ethiopia with roots going back 950 B.C. This delicious beverage has been produced from organic honey and woody hops in many forms using traditional methods without sulfites or preservatives.
Color
Saba Tej has a golden color, which of course is consistent with the high-grade honey and that of Ethiopian organic hops, all of this indicative of being produced without artificial coloring.
Nose
Saba Tej has the flavor of fruitiness and a nice aroma reminiscent of flowers, which the bees gather with the nectar that certainly indicates absolute purity. Saba’s honey-sweet, bitter, and dry tone is typically from the combination of pure honey and the extract of native Ethiopian bitter hops. Saba Tej has a solid mouth-feel and a somewhat pungent nose.
Taste
Honey can be called the substance of divinity. Thus the palate of Saba Tej contributes distinctive taste and flavor believed to supplement the power of virility to make “Honeymooners” delighted and fruitful. Saba Tej is gently processed to an off-dry-sweet alcohol content of 13.5% by volume.
