Basic ingredients to make this Ethiopian premium Tej are essentially pure honey and hand-cultivated organic Ethiopian woody hops. Unlike other wines, Axum Tej is a naturally fermented Tej, honey wine that is absolutely made without any sulfites or any kind of additives.
Color
Axum Tej has a lively light gold to light amber color, which is an indication of the richness and outstanding quality of the product. The color of Axum Tej is also an indicative of high-grade pure honey, which generally offers a bolder, heartier, and consistent natural flavor without adding artificial coloring.
Nose
Axum Tej has the flavor of fruitiness, like the sweet nectar of the fragment flowers the bees collect. Axum Tej’s smoky and spicy tones are typically from the wood barrel and organic woody hops.
